That’s right – whenever there is a 5th Sunday in a month, we use our Sunday school hour(s) to work on service projects with our kids at the ROCK – it’s one of our favorite times, and theirs, too! We are thrilled to support Baskets of Hope as our outreach this month. Baskets of Hope provides Easter Baskets to at risk children in Wake County – last year we assembled around 900 baskets – that’s a lot of love! For our 5th Sunday serve, on January 31st, we are helping the Baskets of Hope team prepare for putting up the tags, crosses and getting ready for the packing party.
And save the date for March 13th 3p-5p when we host the packing party – the whole family will love putting the Easter baskets together using the pieces we donate, prepare and assemble this month!
See below for the schedule for each class. Classes are combined at each grade level (one class of Kindergarten, one class of 1st graders, etc.) in the A room for that grade.
For our preschoolers:
Each week this month, we will tell a story about something ONLY JESUS can do.
Since we didn’t meet last Sunday, we are going to use that lesson – from week four (so your lessons will say Jan 24th, but that’s ok).
This week, they’ll hear the story of Jesus calming the storm with just a word. Be sure to watch WEEK 4 on the DVD at your large group time.
By telling these stories, we are sharing with our youngest friends the awesome power of Jesus and that He can do anything. In fact, there are many things only Jesus can do!
