Fuego Loco! Middle School Boys Small Group
Our mission: To develop a love for Christ through the fellowship of Christian men and adventure. This will be accomplished through a mix of scripture and hands on activities. We will be meeting Saturday, March 26, 10:00am to 12:00pm. The theme will be “The Amazing Creation” (Genesis 1). We will meet at the “Grassy Area/Spillway” (Down the hill from the Community Center, park in the Community Center) at Bond Park at 10:00. Bring your dad and an Estes ROCKET to launch. If your Dad can’t make it or you don’t have a rocket, come anyway. It is going to be fun! We have a launch pad, launch controller and rockets to launch. We have purchased rocket engines, wadding, plugs and igniters in quantity. All this usually costs $3.00 per launch, but in volume we got it down to $2.00 per launch. Please send your son with $2.00 per launch. Based on the time we have allocated, everyone should get time for at least one launch, but just in case, please send them with enough money for two launches ($4.00).
Parents, if your son is late, please do not drop him off. Help him find the group. We will start in the field 10:00, but will end up either in the field or at the top of the hill when we are done. For more information, you may contact: Bob Reichel email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org, or email@example.com.
Bolivia Team Thanks You
Thank you to everyone who supported the Bolivia fundraiser at City Barbecue on March 10. The event was such a success that we are going to do it again this fall! The feedback from First UMC Cary members was that it provided a wonderful opportunity to fellowship with SS Class members, old friends, and connect with the community while raising funds for the Bolivia Mission Team. Save the date: September 22nd.
M&Ms are still available! Please stop by the church office and pick up a canister. Eat the chocolate candy and return your canister to the church office filled with cash/checks. Thank you in advance for supporting us as we improve the lives of Bolivian children. If you want more information, please contact Kelley Davis at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Overnight Retreat 2016: A Time of Reflection
Come away for a time to reflect … a time of quiet … a time to talk with God … a time to listen to God. “A Time of Reflection” offers you a two-night retreat held at St. Francis Springs Prayer Center in Stoneville, NC (north of Greensboro). This is a mostly silent retreat, but there is time for the experiential learning of prayer techniques such as centering prayer, praying a labyrinth, and reflection using an examen. You might choose to learn one of these methods to connect with God – or you may take time to wander around the grounds of the beautiful and peaceful wooded property offered at St. Francis Springs.
Friday, May 20 5:00pm to Sunday, May 22 1:00pm. Van transportation will be available if desired.
This retreat will be led by Laura Osborne, Lin Osborne, Becky Stafford, Rev. Judith Stephens, Buddy West, and Charlotte West. For questions, call Becky Stafford at 919-469-4608 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please click here to make your reservation!
