1st on Chatham Begins Second Sunday Service
For two years, the FUMCC 1st on Chatham (1oC) community has worshiped at 9:45, and we’re excited to tell you we’ve added a second 1oC worship opportunity at 11:05.
The 1oC worship takes place in The Cary Theater, and is a contemporary service with a bend towards ancient tradition and liturgy. The music largely is acoustic, intimate, and participatory, drawing from contemporary and ancient songwriting, in a modern, approachable venue.
The 11:05 service is a great opportunity for families, couples, youth or individuals who attend/teach at the 9:45 Sunday School hours and those looking for a late morning service in the relaxed, intimate setting of The Cary Theater.
You’re welcome to come anytime, and we’d love to see you this Sunday at 11:05. You can park for the 1st on Chatham services in the FUMCC parking lots off Waldo Street, and care and classes for children of all ages is available for both services. If you have questions about the 1st on Chatham services, or would like more information, please email email@example.com or visit 1stOnChatham.com.
All Faiths Women’s Book Group
The book for discussion at the next All Faiths Women’s Book Group will be Having Our Say by the Delany sisters Sarah (Sadie) and Elizabeth (Bess) Delany. We will gather at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Hall at 830 Old Apex Road in Cary at 2:30pm on December 4 for fellowship, discussion, and food. The Delany sisters were born in the late 1800s and both lived to be over 100 years old. This book is an oral history of their life in America from North Carolina beginnings to working in New York City. It is a good read with much wisdom and goodness included in their stories. For more information contact Susan Ciccarelli at Susan@SusanCiccarelli.com.
