“Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted.” In the book “The Way of Blessedness,” Rev. Marjorie J. Thompson and Rev. Stephen Bryant state: Sometimes God places in our way, even a complete stranger, who offers a touch of grace. In times of crisis we learn to treasure the small, unspectacular gestures of care: a word, a hand, an expression in the eyes. Mourners quickly learn that the greatest comfort in time of unspeakable loss is the simple presence of another human being.” This is what a Stephen Minister offers. If you, or someone you know is going through a time of crisis, a Stephen Minister could be the answer for you. For information about receiving a Stephen Minister, contact David Hedberg (men’s coordinator) at 919-815-2204 and Chuckie Chinault (women’s coordinator) at 919-306-0460.
