Baskets of Hope
Every year, Baskets of Hope of First UMC Cary seeks to provide Easter baskets to at-risk children as a symbol of our love and God’s love. This year we need 280 ready-to-go Easter baskets which will go to InterAct, Mighty Mondays, Bridge the Gap, Boys and Girls Club and Dorcas Ministries.
Here’s how you get started: Take a tag and a bag from the crosses located around the church starting March 13. The tags have the name and age of a child who will receive your basket. The crosses will be in three places: entrance to the church office, bottom of ramp at Fellowship Hall, and Templeton building in front of the elevators on first floor. Use the instruction sheet in the bag to create a basket or two. Bring your basket (in the bag, closed with the twist tie) to the Children’s Ministry Workroom (room 122) on the morning of Sunday April 2. Pray for the recipients of these baskets to be blessed by God’s love. Click here for basket ideas!
