How Can We Help You? Men’s Opportunities Survey
Men, do you want to get more out of your church? The Methodist Men can help you. As different men have different needs, interests, schedules and talents, we want to be able to help the individual men of the church be involved and connected with activities and opportunities and groups that fit them. So we are sending out a short, online survey soon that will help us communicate with you about activities, service opportunities and groups at the church that may be of specific interest to you. We will also use this information to plan activities and different functions that will be of interest to the men of the church.
How can you help us? Take the survey. Here are four easy ways to take it.
- Click here and you can take it right now.
- Go to the UMM page on the church website and there will be a link to the survey there.
- In the next couple of weeks you should receive an email with a link to take the survey.
- If you would prefer a paper survey to fill out, just contact David Crittenden at email@example.com or 919.880.5902.
Prayer Vigil from Good Friday to Easter Morning
Please plan to join our church family as we keep an intercessory Prayer Vigil. The Prayer Vigil will begin at 8:00pm Friday, April 14 following the Good Friday Service and will end at 6:00am on Easter Sunday, April 16. Sign up for 30-minute long periods of time when you will pray. You can pray at home during your designated time, or you may come to the Sanctuary to pray. The Narthex doors will be open and the church will be staffed for your security for the duration of the Prayer Vigil. You may sign up for as many 30 minute periods as you would like. Also, we are glad to have more than one person praying during each session. Click here to sign up for the Prayer Vigil.

Bridge the Gap: Needs Small Toiletries and Laundry Detergent
For March and April Bridge the Gap Mission is collecting laundry detergent and small toiletries (hotel/travel size). We are partnering with a laundry-mat to provide some free weeks of washing and drying of clothes to people who are leaving prison, homeless or those in need. We need detergent (can be liquid or dry), and dryer sheets. The small toiletries work well for homeless as they have to carry everything with them during the day even if they are in a shelter. Please place in the box in the church hallway or in the church office.

“Shoes To Go”
Do you have shoes you can donate for a good cause? Shoes can help a poor child in Honduras attend school or an adult to have a job. Shoes promote better health by reducing infections from cuts and parasites transmitted through the ground. Bring your gently used shoes with you to Read and Feed (room 118) on Thursdays before April 18. On Sunday April 23, they will be blessed at Genesis United Methodist Church – 850 High House Road in Cary – and packed for shipment to Honduras. We promise that they will be delivered to people who really need them!
- All sizes of children’s shoes are welcome
- Please limit men’s shoes to size 11
- Please limit women’s shoes to size 9
