Our called Charge Conference was held on Thursday, June 8, 2017. Please click here for the minutes of the charge conference.
After the Charge Conference, Mark Schneider offered the council a devotion. The council shared celebrations from each ministry area since April. Mark Schneider presented a recap of the Fair Booth Town Hall Meeting. Mark then shared that a group of individuals has stepped forward to lead and direct the Fair Booth since the Town Hall meeting (Gary Churchill, John Huffman, Mark Gemberling, Kelley Davis, Jeanette Bell and Mike Bailey). The Church Council thanked Rick Kibler for his decades of service in leading the Fair Booth. Linda Miller then led the Council in a season of discernment. The Council discerned that the Fair Booth will be led by committee format. The Church Council thanked the group of individuals that stepped forward to lead the Fair Booth. We then heard updates from Finance, Trustees, and Staff Parish. Please click here for April’s Finance Report.
Linda Miller closed us in prayer.
The Church Council’s next meeting will be on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 7:00pm in room 200.

FUMCC Music and Creative Arts Camp 2017
Sunday, July 30, 5:15-8:30pm, and Monday, July 31 through Friday, August 4, 9:00am to 3:00pm daily
Music and Creative Arts Camp is an exciting opportunity for children to grow spiritually, musically and dramatically in a supportive and creative environment. Activities will include singing, drama, movement, and art, and two performances of a musical. This year’s musical is “Land of The Lost and Found.” All children and youth who will be entering grades two through ten in the summer or fall of 2017 are invited to attend.
All registrants must pick up a copy of the music CD at least two weeks prior to the camp and practice at home to become familiar with the music and begin learning the words to the songs. These CDs will be made available for pickup in the church office beginning June 1. Campers must attend every day. Please register by Thursday, June 15. Registration is limited to 50 participants.
Click here to register. Contact Patti Cook at email@example.com with questions.
Bosnia Mission 2017, June 29 – July 12
2017 will mark FUMC’s twenty-first year of ministry in Bosnia. We were the first church to send a relief team to that war torn country and one of the few congregations remaining in partnership with the people there. We are blessed to have a special relationship with the children, youth, and families in Gornji Vakuf. Your generosity over the years has made it possible for volunteers to provide a summer camp each year for the children in this small rural community. Few recreational opportunities are available in this community where unemployment is near 50% and the majority of citizens live in poverty. The following list of general supplies is very helpful for this summer program. Donated supplies can be left in the Trinity Sunday School Room.
Markers, Crayons, Construction Paper (all colors), Yarn (bright colors/multi colors), Glue Sticks, Elmer’s Glue, Index Cards, Stickers (the children love stickers), Paper plates (large and small), Staplers and Staples, Beads, Tissue Paper, Pipe Cleaners, Pompoms, Streamers, Foam Shapes, Popsicle Sticks, Masking Tape, Scotch Tape, Wiggly eyes, Face painting/tempera paint, Paint brushes, Feathers, Paper lunch bags (brown or white), Streamers, Sidewalk chalk, Coffee filters.
