For our elementary age kids:
We went to Acts 16:11-15 and met a woman named Lydia. Paul and Silas were traveling around and telling people about Jesus. In the city of Philippi, they headed down to the city riverbank where they thought they’d find people worshipping God. While they were there they met Lydia, a wealthy business owner. Lydia used her gift of hospitality to make Paul and Silas feel welcomed. She used her gifts to help others feel loved.
Bottom Line: God made you to love others. God has given each of us gifts that we can use to show love to others. We pray that kids will realize that part of what it means to be created in God’s image includes reflecting His love to the people in the world around them.
What better way to practice what we learned than by serving others – what truer form of love is there? Click HERE to learn all about how we will love and serve other children this 5th Sunday morning at both our 9:45a and 11a Sunday school hours.
For our preschool age kids:
Kids Rock! But, you knew that, didn’t you? You’re surrounded by rockin’ kids all the time! We’re excited to celebrate kids with a rocking good time this summer.
Throughout the summer, our preschoolers will be introduced to people in the Bible who did amazing things while they were still kids. They rocked because they did what God wanted them to do, and our preschoolers can do that too.
In July, Daniel, Miriam, Josiah, a young boy and his lunch and Timothy will continue to help our preschoolers learn that they can do what God wants them to do.
Here’s this week’s lessons/schedules:
Don’t forget, we are now on our Summer schedule, so all classes are combined by grade (ex: Kindergarten A and Kindergarten B are combined into one Kindergarten class in the A room). Be sure to welcome new faces from the other class that you may not know!
Thanks! See you Sunday!
