Confirmation 2017-2018 is fast approaching, and we are thrilled to be walking this journey with our youth and their families!
Confirmation is an opportunity to respond to God’s call on our lives and is an important part of a lifelong journey with God and one another. For many youth, confirmation is the continuation of the faith journey begun at baptism, which expresses our covenant relationship with God and the church. If your youth has not already received God’s gift of baptism, then we will also incorporate baptism in the Confirmation journey. Confirmation is open to any youth in the 8th grade or older who has not yet been confirmed in his or her faith. At the end of the class, you will have the opportunity to be confirmed and make a profession of faith as an act of worship in the Sunday morning services of worship.
Our Confirmation experiences include weekly classes and field trips to other places of worship. Our curriculum will follow the Wesleyan understanding of God’s way of creation and salvation. The classes will be lead in a small table group setting with adult table leaders. Corey Dao-Forrester will facilitate our Confirmation class.
