What we learn on the Thursday night meet, will be put in practice during our Saturday follow up meet.

Where: Bond Park.
Focus: Communications Part II- Using what we learned from our last meeting to complete activities and tasks (games).
Scripture: James 1:19, Proverbs 15:1, Ephesians 4:29, Psalm 141:3
Other notes: It will be hot and we will be in the woods doing stuff.
Our Group Mission:
To develop a love for Christ through the fellowship of Christian men and adventure. This will be accomplished through a mix of scripture and hands on activities.
Who We Are:
Fuego Loco is a middle school boys group open to all current middle school boys (grades 6-8) and their Dads. We typically meet twice a month.
One Thursday night a month 6:00 to 7:30 in room 231 at FUMC.
One Saturday morning or afternoon or night per month. Sometimes on FUMC campus, sometimes off campus.
We strongly encourage the boy’s Dad or a male mentor who plays an important role in the boy’s life to attend our Saturday events (although this is not a requirement).
We would like to put the call out for any men with particular skills that we can teach the boys. If you have an idea about teaching the boys something they need to learn as they grow into young men, please let us know. We would love for you to come help make this happen.
Our Group Service Focus:
James 1:27- Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. “We ARE helping the orphans and widows!!!”
How are we going to do this? Here are a few ideas and we are always looking for more:
- Assisting with the annual Methodist Home for Children Foster Family Appreciation dinner.
- Sharing our birthdays with the foster kids (Birthday letter)
- Raising funds for various efforts from the fruits of our carpentry day sale to the congregation (in 2016 we built bird houses)
- Host a lawn mower repair day in the spring and accept donations
- Perform yard work for a widow.
- Performs “other” house maintenance for the widows- Changing light bulbs, changing air filters, cleaning bugs out of light fixtures, etc.
- Host a widows dinner.
