Baskets of Hope is a homegrown local mission inspired by members of First UMC Cary and St. Andrews Presbyterian in Raleigh who wanted to show our neighbors Christ’s love and the hope of Easter. We focus on children, in our community in Wake County, who may not get an Easter Basket and ensure they feel God’s love. Love offers Hope!
During Lent – there will be tags up on crosses – You can locate them in 3 places: Entrance to the church office, Bottom of ramp at Fellowship Hall, Templeton Bldg in front of the elevators on first floor.
Pick a tag up and shop for that child’s Easter Basket! What to include? See below for tips on building a great basket.
All Baskets should be returned to the church office by :
Consider a Donation:
We could use candy, loose legos and new or like new stuffed animals! Monetary contributions go directly toward the purchase of an age-appropriate Bible included in each child’s basket.
We hope to meet our goal of 900 baskets through the efforts of individuals, families, small groups and ministry team. Every basket counts, grab your tag and make a difference!
