Youth ministry exists to guide a personal journey with Christ from childhood to adulthood. Our mission is to offer formational practices such as worship, Biblical study, prayer, service, learning United Methodist doctrine, and fellowship to fulfill a vision of providing a community that invites the Holy Spirit to motivate and challenge our youth to continue to live a life of discipleship throughout the rest of their lives.
Our ministry provides opportunities on Sunday morning and evening, during the week, as well as trips, retreats, and events throughout the year. Passionate adult servants and committed parents give generously of their prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness to provide exemplary mentoring and supervision for our youth.
- Big Group
Big Group begins at 9:45am in the Fellowship Hall and is an opportunity for all youth, Grades 6-12, to fellowship, pray, and observe our weekly announcements. At 10:00am our youth leaders excuse the youth to their Sunday School classes.
- Sunday School
Our youth are divided by grade to create smaller groups. Our middle school youth discuss and learn to live out the stories we study from the Old and New Testaments. Our Senior High youth have lessons that train them to observe the world and to respond based on who they are as followers of Christ.
- UMYF (United Methodist Youth Fellowship)
UMYF is our weekly gathering of youth, Grades 6-12, from 5:00-7:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. We begin with the best $3 meal in town and continue by dividing our middle school and high school youth into smaller groups to share their lives with one another, learn lessons they can use in their every day lives, and to be reminded that they are loved children of God.
