Creation Care

We believe that a relationship with God’s creation and a ministry of caring for and healing the earth are integral to what it means to be a United Methodist. Learn more about the Creation Care efforts of the North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church.

Get Together Green is an EarthKeeper outreach project of the Creation Care Team of First Cary serving downtown Cary in and around the Maynard Loop. Our goal is to make it easy to avoid single-use plastics by offering larger quantities of silverware for use at gatherings. Reserve what you need, pick up your kit, return dirty, and we wash and sanitize it in our industrial dishwasher and get it ready for the next check out!

First Cary Community Compost is a food waste drop-off program designed to make it easy for you to compost your kitchen waste diverting it from the landfill and building nutrient rich soil. You are not required to use one of our buckets to participate in the program. You can collect your food waste in any container and transport it to the church drop-off.
