Worship
We offer two worship experiences on Sundays at First Cary. We invite you to find the right fit for you!
First Sanctuary services are offered at 8:30, 9:45 and 11:00 a.m. and feature classic and traditional Christian acts of worship in ways that are relevant to the world in which we live. Great hymns of the faith are sung; the traditional creeds are recited; Holy Communion is served the first Sunday of each month; and biblically-based sermons that seek to emphasize spiritual growth and Christian service are preached. These services are holy but not solemn and have the feeling of a family gathering.
First on Chatham gathers at 9:45 and 11:00 a.m. in the Building C Community Room. First on Chatham’s style of worship is modern, approachable, and authentic. Sermons are honest and challenging; rooted in scripture and applicable in nature, and the music is an often-acoustic blend of new Christian singer-songwriters and ancient hymns with a modern twist.

Nursery is available for ages 0-5 during the 9:45 and 11:00 a.m. worship services. Contact Emleigh Appel, Children’s Ministry Director for more information.
Young disciples of all ages are always welcome in worship. Clipboards are available outside of each worship entrance with sermon-focused activities and opportunities for busy hands.
Our Praygrounds are a way for young disciples to stay engaged in worshipful activities during worship services in a space equipped with a livestream of the service as well as worship-focused resources like play-dough mats and meditative tools. We do ask that an adult remain with any child using these spaces; they are not staffed/supervised.
