When we drive our cars around, we’re usually focused on where we’re going and how we get there. We don’t usually think about what makes them go. It’s only when we pop the hood and look at the engine that we understand how such a huge mass of metal and rubber has the energy to move forward. In a similar way, we can get so focused on what the church does and how our pastors lead that we may not think about the underlying purposes and assumptions that spur the action. In this session, Pastor Ben will unpack some of those underlying presumptions and assumptions, theological and practical, that guide the church in general as well as his ministry more personally.
