Across time and place, God has always provided the very thing that sustains life: bread. As the Israelites walked in the wilderness, they received blessed bread for them to break on their journey. As Jesus reflects with the crowds, he makes this offering make sense. The presence of God is one that always welcomes us, fills us, and sustains us. Each time we too receive the blessed and broken bread, may we experience the presence of Christ that reminds us of the promise of eternal life in abundance. May we seek the very thing that sustains, the blessed and broken Bread of Life.
