After six months of waiting, God sent the angel Gabriel to visit Mary. He began by saying, “Rejoice, favored one! The Lord is with you!” In more ways than Mary could immediately imagine, God was present alongside her and within her. She would learn from the angel that she would soon bear the Son of God bringing forth Emmanuel, God with us. Nothing is impossible for God. Even when we don’t have the imagination of what God is doing now, may we be willing to serve God while we wait.
