Foundational for all things is Scripture. We often encounter the Word of God in many ways. Each time that we encounter it, we may experience something different for the scripture is living around us, among us, and within us. It roots us like a tree by a river, and shapes us for it is sharper than any double-edged sword. When we find ourselves asking the question, “Why Scripture?” may we be both held and honed by the sacred Word.
