Zechariah and Elizabeth did everything right. And yet, they found themselves in a lifetime of waiting. Until the day that Gabriel, an angel of God, appeared to Zechariah declaring joyous news: Elizabeth is expecting a sweet baby boy to be named John. In disbelief, Zechariah questioned the angel and found himself unable to speak. The angel promised, “Everything will come true in the right time.” Even when we don’t have understanding or words to speak, may we remain watchful while we wait.
